Dress up in you.

Football season is a month and a half away. No amount of smiley faces can describe the excitement. Off season is the worse 2 months of my life. Now, not only does this mean I have something to watch, but also I can place bets on something I actually care about. I hate betting on basketball or baseball or American football, because I have no idea who I should go with, I don’t watch the game, and end up just having to call my bookie to figure out how much money I’ve won or lost (read: lost).

Sunderland, Derby and Birmingham have been added to the premiere league, but, sadly, that doesn’t make any difference. Derby might have the chance to not get relegated back to the small times. That’s a pretty big might.

Of course the top four will be Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and that dreadful Manchester United. God (Allah, Buddha, Ganesh, the Goddess of Earth, Satan) willing, Chelsea will come out on top. I may be forced to eat a gun if I have to see those Manchester wankers win it again.

Of the two of your who read my blog, I’m pretty sure only one of you stands a chance at caring the least bit about what I just said (I’m sorry Mlle. Firewings), so on to other topics.

I can not win a game of poker to save my life at the moment. I’m playing scrubs, and losing my face. I don’t know what’s wrong. I guess the poker gods think I’m fat.

Him: (in a thick Mexican accent) It no work

M: What ‘no work’ sir?

H: The screen

M: Does this screen belong to your register or your ISP?

H: Yes

M: I see…What is the screen showing?

H: Nothing

M: So there’s nothing on the screen?

H: No, it has some words

M: And what does it say?

H: *click*

I probably shouldn’t find that as funny as I do.

Buying things and stuff

I finally got around to buying a few albums I’ve been looking forward too. The first one being ‘The Reminder’ by Feist. I am very much pleased with this. Very solid all the way around. I’ll give you a sample.

Actually, so far this year has been really good for music. Only a few disappointments (I’m looking at you, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah).Even more awesomeness to look forward too. The White Stripes’ new one drops the 29th, Iron and Wine have one coming, which I’ve heard has been leaked. I’ll have to check up on that. It’s been rumored that Wolf Parade is releasing something later this year. Happy times for all.

I should do some sort of crappy “Best musics far of 2007″ bloggings. Perhaps in the future.

Bush in Prague

I’m watching the president hold a conference with the President and Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, and I thought I would help out the world by simul-blogging the event.

Vaclav Klaus (President of the Czech Republic): We love the US, we have always loved the US. We will continue to love the US forever. On to you, G-Dub.

President Bush: Heh, I think Prague is cool. Real cool. I like it here. I like you Mr. Klaus (editor’s note: you can tell by the look in his eye, he’s thinking of Santa). Do you guys like a missile defense shield? I like a missile defense shield. Putin, why don’t you? This isn’t the ColdWar, the cold war is over (editor’s note 2: Look at that smirk, you know he wants to say “And we won”). This missile defense shield has nothing against you Putin *wink*. Now the Czech people have voiced concerns about visas. They say “We are such a staunch ally in the war on terror, can’t you loosen up the Visas on us?”. I say to you, I’ll work on it, but I’m pretty busy keeping Mexicans out. Thank you for your time.

Then Mirek Topolanek, the Prime Minister, starts to speak but NO NETWORK on cable cared. I didn’t get one translated word. But who cares, he’s a foreigner.

It’s coming!

In an effort to think up some content I have made a decision. Thursdays will be linking day! And by linking day I mean lots of kitten pictures. But enough business talk.

Football season starts soon. It only ended 2 weeks ago, but football is a good sport in that aspect. Two month off season.  Sunderland, Birmingham and Derby have been upgraded to the premiership. I’d like to say that it mattered anymore, but the big 4 will stay on top. Chelsea is going to win it this year. Hardcore. AND we’ll win the champion’s league. It’s gonna be a good year for football. It’ll be a better year if Italy explodes. The entire country. God I hate that place.

So what else is new? I suppose I should update the appearance of my bloggings. Maybe add some pictures around, maybe a song or two. Maybe have a place that shows who my friends are. I should make a myspace.

I’m no goose.

 Being broke is pretty much the opposite of the bees knees. I would know, I’ve experienced the bees knees, and this isn’t it. I have 15 dollars in Canadian and some 4 dollars in change to my name. This isn’t exactly an awesome feeling.

Now, normally when bad things like this happen, I tend to blame the white man, but this is actually my fault. I’m not a man to keep a budget, or even keep track of how much money he has. I’ve found life to be much less of an adventure when you do that. So I bought a fancy pants laptop. This thing is a 2000 dollar gaming machine. The specs on this blow most people desktops out of the water. The idea of spending that much money on a laptop I would pretty much only use for chatting intrigued me, so I took it.

So I sit here, 6 days till I get my next check, with no monies. I have enough gas in my car, and food in the house so it’s not like I’m going to die, but still no fun. I don’t regret my decision in any way though, this laptop is all sorts of sexy and I’m probably going to end up marrying it.

On to something different.

I finally got around to hearing the new Wilco album. Decent stuff. Not sure where I would rank it among their other stuff…not the top, not the bottom.

I guess that’s it for now, blog-o-buddies. My pork ribs are calling me, and I’m not one to disappoint.

Blog-o-time

So here we are, the blog-o-sphere. My arrival may be a bit late, but we all know the saying*. I’ve not yet decided what this blog is going to be about, but I bet I’ll be in it. Well, I hope I’ll be in it anyway.

I’m not so entirely sure what caused me to want to blog. It’s not something in my nature. But, as I sit here watching the atrocious K-19, I figure I should be telling the world what I’m thinking. I have important thought that need to be known. For instance: Are you aware of my feelings on cake?* Of course not, because you’ve not read about it in my blog. But soon that will all be changing. I’m going to blog the hell out these internets.

As this is an introductory blog, I shoud probably tell you a little about myself. My name is Awesometron Omegacrunch. I’m 7′2″ high. I can also breathe fire, when need be.

I’m sorry to get away from the blog, but this movie is really terrible. I’m talking about K-19. Why is it that some of the accents are thick, and some don’t seem like they come from Russia at all. (I guess if I’m gonna be late making blogs, I’ll be late making movie reviews). Now, I saw this in the theaters some 5 years ago or whenever it came out, and I wasn’t a big fan then. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I was not liking K-19 before everyone else was not liking K-19. I’m hip like that.

I suppose that’s all I have right now, though I’ll let you know when something comes up.
